What this role involves

About SecurityScorecard:

SecurityScorecard is the global leader in cybersecurity ratings, with over 12 million companies continuously rated, operating in 64 countries. Founded in 2013 by security and risk experts Dr. Alex Yampolskiy and Sam Kassoumeh and funded by world-class investors, SecurityScorecard’s patented rating technology is used by over 25,000 organizations for self-monitoring, third-party risk management, board reporting, and cyber insurance underwriting; making all organizations more resilient by allowing them to easily find and fix cybersecurity risks across their digital footprint.

Headquartered in New York City, our culture has been recognized by Inc Magazine as a “Best Workplace,” by Crain’s NY as a “Best Places to Work in NYC,” and as one of the 10 hottest SaaS startups in New York for two years in a row. Most recently, SecurityScorecard was named to Fast Company’s annual list of theWorld’s Most Innovative Companies for 2023 and to the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in 2023 award recognizing “forward-thinking employers for their unwavering commitment to employee engagement.”  SecurityScorecard is proud to be funded by world-class investors including Silver Lake Waterman, Moody’s, Sequoia Capital, GV and Riverwood Capital.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly technical Staff Product Designer to join our Product Design team at SecurityScorecard. In this role, you will design complex AI-powered cyber risk workflows touching on third-party risk assessments, automated security questionnaires, and continuous monitoring. You possess deep expertise in B2B SaaS user experience paradigms, such as dense data, complex permissioning, and multi-tenant workflows. You have deep experience leveraging AI in all phases of your design process, including grounding your prototypes directly in our codebase and design system rather than generating disconnected concepts, and you’re comfortable building and scrapping fast rather than getting attached to a single direction.

What You’ll Do

  • Master high-complexity workflows. Own the end-to-end design of deeply technical AI-enabled workflows, including third-party vendor risk assessments, automated security questionnaires, and continuous monitoring.
  • Ground decisions in evidence. Run usability tests, synthesize behavioral and product analytics (e.g., FullStory, Pendo), and fold research findings into your design iterations.
  • Design for enterprise constraints. Systematically design for complex B2B paradigms, including role-based access control, multi-tenant environments, and complex data-filtering mechanisms, treating these as design material rather than obstacles.
  • Bridge design and code with AI prototyping. Work directly against our codebase and design system, using Claude to produce interactive prototypes that are anchored in how our product actually works, not invented from scratch. Communicate design intent through prompting.
  • Work AI-native across your design process. Leverage AI to synthesize research, rapidly visualize concepts, explore edge cases, and validate functional prototypes to compress iteration cycles without lowering the craft bar.
  • Strengthen our design system. Contribute to our design system to ensure durable patterns and machine readability for AI prototyping at scale, with accessibility as a default (WCAG 2.2).
  • Build designer confidence with AI. Raise the product design team’s AI fluency through collaborative prototyping workshops and shared AI prototyping techniques to elevate the team’s collective technical skillsets.
  • Partner cross-functionally. Work alongside Product and Engineering to turn ambiguous briefs into defensible solutions, and push back with evidence when the brief is wrong.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of product design experience, with at least 3+ years designing B2B SaaS experiences in a platform environment. B2C design background does not translate to this role.
  • A proven portfolio demonstrating strong handling of high-complexity UI challenges, such as multi-dimensional data, analytics dashboarding, permissions management, or deep system nesting, plus a track record of turning ambiguous problems into shipped work without heavy oversight.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on use of AI in your own design practice, including prompting AI tooling such as Claude to build interactive prototypes in code that are grounded in an existing codebase and design system. Be prepared to show what you built, how you prompted it, and what it changed about the outcome. General familiarity with AI tools is not sufficient; we’re looking for real practitioner experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and contributing to design systems.
  • Strong fluency with Figma and related AI-assisted design tooling.
  • A clear understanding of cognitive load, decision-making frameworks, and how to design interfaces that reduce user error in high-stakes security environments.
  • Hands-on experience integrating usability testing, product analytics, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) into your process by default.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cybersecurity, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), or Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
  • Experience designing AI-enabled features that earn user trust, fail gracefully when the model is wrong, and keep users in control of the outcome.
  • Hands-on front-end capability beyond prototyping. You have written HTML, CSS, and component code that shipped, and you can contribute to a design system in the repo, not just in Figma.

Who You Are

Our product design team has a unique fabric, and we hire for it deliberately.

  • You push yourself to do your best work. You hold a high craft bar and you’re motivated by getting things right, not just getting them done.
  • You have a growth mindset. You actively seek out feedback and incorporate it, and understand how to give feedback.
  • You care about the people around you. You’re committed to elevating your teammates. We don’t hire for a “rockstar” mentality; we hire people who make the whole team better.
  • You lead with humility. You’re confident in your craft and secure enough to stay open, curious, and collaborative.
  • You are someone that moves fast between prototypes, continually iterating using AI to validate your ideas.

Benefits:

Specific to each country, we offer a competitive salary, stock options, Health benefits, and unlimited PTO, parental leave, tuition reimbursements, and much more!

The estimated total compensation range for this position is $180,000 - $250,000 (base plus bonus). Our products enable law firms to secure faster settlements, higher payouts, and better outcomes for victims injured through no fault of their own in vehicle collisions, accidents, natural disasters, and more.

We are one of the fastest-growing vertical SaaS companies in history, and we are just getting started. EvenUp is backed by top VCs, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Bain Capital Ventures, SignalFire, and Lightspeed. We are looking to expand our team with talented, driven, and collaborative individuals who seek to have a lasting impact. Learn more at www.evenuplaw.com.

Reporting to the Head of Design, you’ll lead a small team of embedded product designers while also contributing hands-on to high-impact projects. This is a true player-coach role, with about half your time spent mentoring and growing the team and the other half leading design for strategic initiatives in close partnership with engineering, product, and AI.

This role offers broad scope and strategic influence across a modular, fast-evolving platform. You’ll support work spanning AI tools and workflow infrastructure, helping to architect cohesive, user-centered experiences in a technically complex space. It’s an opportunity to shape foundational design systems, build team culture, and make a lasting impact on the legal tech ecosystem we’re helping to define.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation of working at least 3 days a week from one of our office hubs in San Francisco or Toronto.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and support a team of 4+ product designers, investing in their growth, performance, and career development.

  • Drive hiring for open roles on your team, partnering with recruiting and design leadership to scale our design practice.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and data teams to define strategy, scope product opportunities, and ship high-quality solutions.

  • Balance management responsibilities with hands-on design work—taking ownership of critical projects that contribute directly to business goals.

  • Champion design excellence and foster a collaborative, feedback-rich design culture grounded in user-centered thinking and high standards of execution.

What we look for:

  • 10+ years of experience in software product design

  • 5+ years of experience in managing other designers.

  • A track record of designing impactful B2B workflow tools for complex, specialized users—experience with internal tooling and/or AI interfaces is a strong plus.

  • Proven ability to lead and scale a team, including hiring and developing talent.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to drive clarity in ambiguous problem spaces and ship high-quality work at speed.

Benefits & Perks:

What this role involves

Twin Health

At Twin Health, we empower people to improve and prevent chronic metabolic diseases, like type 2 diabetes and obesity, with a new standard of care. Twin Health is the only company applying AI Digital Twin technology exclusively toward metabolic health.

We start by building a dynamic model of each person’s metabolism — drawing on thousands of data points from CGMs, smartwatches, and meal logs — that maps their personal path to better health. Guided by a dedicated clinical care team, our members have lowered their A1C below the diabetes range, achieved lasting weight loss, and reduced or even eliminated medications, all while living healthier, happier lives.

Working here

Our team at Twin Health is passionate, talented, and united by a shared purpose: to improve the metabolic health and happiness of our members. We believe in empowering every Twin to make a meaningful impact for our members, our clients, and each other, while enjoying a supportive, collaborative work environment.

Twin has been recognized not only for our innovation but also for our culture, including: Innovator of the Year by the Employer Health Innovation Roundtable (EHIR), selected to CB Insights’ Digital Health 150, and named one of Newsweek’s Top Most Loved Workplace® .

With more than $100 million raised in recent funding, including a $53 million Series E round in 2025 led by Maj Invest, and a $50 million investment in 2023 led by Temasek, Twin is scaling rapidly across the U.S. and globally. Backed by leading venture firms like ICONIQ Growth, Sequoia, Sofina, Temasek, and Peak XV, we are building the most impactful digital health company in the world.

Join us as we reinvent the standard of care in metabolic health.

Opportunity

As a Principal Product Designer, you’ll own the end-to-end experience strategy for our mobile app — the primary touchpoint where members manage their health every day. But more than that, you’ll be doing something very few designers get to do: inventing the interaction language for agentic AI in healthcare from scratch.

There is no established playbook here. Agentic experiences — where AI acts autonomously on a user’s behalf, surfaces proactive guidance, and adapts in real time to behavior and health data — are among the least explored frontiers in product design today. You’ll be the person who figures out what these patterns look, feel, and behave like for people managing chronic conditions. That requires genuine originality, comfort with ambiguity, and the creative confidence to propose something that has never existed before.

This is the highest craft and leadership bar we hire to. You’ll be a recognized thought leader internally — setting the quality standard others aspire to, shaping product roadmaps beyond your immediate scope, and leaving a design legacy that outlasts any single feature.

This isn’t iteration work. It’s an invention.

Responsibilities

Vision & Strategy

  • Identify and drive mission-critical design initiatives with significant scope and long-term timelines — projects that directly shape the trajectory of the business, not just the product.
  • Pioneer agentic UX from 0 to 1 — design entirely new interaction patterns for AI systems that act proactively, make recommendations, and operate with increasing autonomy on behalf of users. You’ll be defining conventions that don’t yet exist, not referencing ones that do.
  • Assist stakeholders across teams in shaping their product roadmaps, bringing a design-led perspective to decisions that extend well beyond your own areas of ownership.
  • Lead design strategy across interconnected member journeys — from onboarding through long-term behavior change — defining what “great” looks like, aligning cross-functional partners around it, and seeing it through to shipped product.

Innovation & Problem Solving

  • Invent in uncharted territory — bring a high degree of creative originality to problems with no obvious solution. Concept, prototype, and validate novel design patterns that balance AI agency with user trust, transparency, and control.
  • Lead high-complexity initiatives end to end while also serving as a design consultant across smaller-scale efforts, applying your breadth of experience to raise quality across the board.
  • Drive innovation workshops and ideation exercises that push teams past familiar solutions and toward genuinely new design territory.

Craft & Execution

  • Set the quality bar for design at Twin. Your work is the standard others reference — in interaction design, visual design, copy direction, and systems thinking.
  • Translate clinical complexity and AI-generated insights into experiences that feel intuitive and motivating, designing for real health outcomes.
  • Own the full craft end to end: information architecture, interaction design, visual design, copy direction, and user validation — from early concepts to pixel-perfect specs.
  • Proactively identify visual, accessibility, and interaction issues across products and influence their prioritization and resolution.
  • Be a steward and builder of Twin’s design system — identifying gaps, leading improvements, and establishing new agentic design patterns as reusable components the broader team can build on.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Operate as a mentor and guide for designers and cross-functional partners — helping them advocate for best practices and elevating the craft and standards of the entire team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and executive leaders, negotiating and persuading with clarity, humility, and well-crafted rationale.
  • Define and run research that uncovers unmet needs and validates direction, turning qualitative insights into clear, actionable design decisions.
  • Communicate and storytell with expert fluency — you can defend a novel design concept in front of clinicians, engineers, and executives with equal confidence.

Impact

  • Make contributions that exceed the expected boundaries of a product design role — positively influencing business health, product direction, and the design culture at Twin.
  • Evolve how design functions at Twin, continuously recalibrating the team’s approach based on business needs, industry shifts, and the frontier of AI-powered product design.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product/UX design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates the highest level of craft across interaction design, visual design, and systems thinking.
  • Demonstrated experience designing agentic AI experiences — products where AI takes action, surfaces proactive interventions, or operates with agency rather than simply responding to user input.
  • Proven ability to design 0-to-1 — you’ve created original interaction patterns in spaces with no prior art and can articulate the thinking and process behind how you got there.
  • Highly inventive and creatively courageous — you don’t default to what’s familiar. You push into genuinely new territory and have a track record of work that others in the industry reference.
  • Recognized thought leader in design — internally and externally — whose perspective carries weight beyond your immediate team.
  • Expert communication and storytelling skills — able to negotiate with and persuade leaders at all levels while consistently acting with humility and without ego.
  • High degree of independence and ingenuity when solving critical design challenges, with a track record of identifying and executing on new opportunities without waiting to be directed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • This remote opportunity based out of the U.S. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with LLM prompting as part of a design or prototyping workflow — you’ve used AI as a creative tool, not just designed around it.
  • Experience establishing design patterns for AI transparency, explainability, or human-in-the-loop interactions.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $220,000 - $240,000 annually.

Twin has an ambitious vision to empower people to live healthier and happier lives, and to achieve this purpose, we need the very best people to enhance our cutting-edge technology and medical science, deliver the best possible care, and turn our passion into value for our members, partners and investors. We are committed to delivering an outstanding culture and experience for every Twin employee through a company based on the values of passion, talent, and trust. We offer comprehensive benefits and perks in line with these principles, as well as a high level of flexibility for every Twin

  • A competitive compensation package in line with leading technology companies
  • A remote and accomplished global team
  • Opportunity for equity participation
  • Unlimited vacation with manager approval
  • 16 weeks of 100% paid parental leave for delivering parents; 8 weeks of 100% paid parental leave for non-delivering parents

Design Staff Product Designer at Instrumentl

Staff Product Designer owns end-to-end design for core platform systems, defining data models, interaction patterns, and design foundations that shape the entire product experience.

Lead Posted 9 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Hello, we’re Instrumentl. 👋

Nonprofits do some of the most important work in the world, and most of them are still managing grants in spreadsheets. We’re fixing that.

Instrumentl is a profitable, hypergrowth, YC-backed SaaS platform building the operating system for grant-funded organizations. More than 5,500 nonprofits use Instrumentl to discover, track, and win grant funding, from local community organizations to the San Diego Zoo and the University of Alaska. Collectively they’ve moved over $1 billion through our platform.

We’re growing quickly, customers love us (check out our G2 reviews!), and we’re hiring people who want to build something that matters.

About the role:

We are hiring a Staff Product Designer reporting to the Head of Design. You’ll own GrantOS, the foundational layer every other product area at Instrumentl sits on top of: Platform (the data layer, MCP, BI), Core (Tracker, Tasks, Reports, Integrations), and the enterprise surfaces that connect them. This is the seat where you define how grant professionals experience Instrumentl as a system rather than a set of features, which means the data models, permissions, and interaction patterns you set get inherited by every designer and every pod after you. Much of this area is still being invented, so you will be defining problems rather than receiving specs.

What you’ll do:

Platform & Systems

  • Own end-to-end design for GrantOS across Platform, Core, and enterprise, from discovery through ship and iteration
  • Define the data relationships, permission models, and integration surfaces that hold up across every workflow in the product
  • Set the interaction patterns and design system foundations that every other product area inherits
  • Design how work connects across pods, so a change in one area makes the next one smarter instead of harder

Zero to One

  • Drive definition in genuinely greenfield spaces where the right answer is not obvious yet
  • Write your own brief, frame the problem, and set roadmap direction in partnership with your PM
  • Make good calls with incomplete information and sequence the work so the team ships learnings quickly
  • Shape how grant professionals manage tasks, reporting, and integrations across the full grant lifecycle

Research & Influence

  • Recruit participants, run the interviews, and synthesize ambiguous user needs into clear product direction
  • Bring a point of view into the room and push back when something is not right for users
  • Align engineering, product, and GTM on direction at any level of the company
  • Raise the quality bar across the design team and coach the designers around you

What we’re looking for:

Required

  • 10+ years of product design experience with meaningful time at staff or principal level, having owned entire product domains rather than features inside them
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of a platform or core product area in complex B2B or enterprise SaaS: data models, permissions, integration surfaces, and patterns that other teams build on top of
  • Shipped net-new product work alongside that platform work, including 0-to-1 areas you helped define rather than received as a finished spec
  • Deep involvement in user research end to end, from planning and recruiting through synthesis into product decisions
  • Experience designing agentic or AI-powered product surfaces

Nice to have

  • Design systems experience where you defined the patterns, not only used them

Design Staff Product Designer at Instrumentl

Staff Product Designer owns end-to-end design for foundational platform systems, defining data models, interaction patterns, and design standards that inform all product areas.

  • Design systems experience where you defined the patterns, not only used them
  • Prototyping with AI tools, for example building working prototypes in Claude or Cursor that engineers can build from
  • Exposure to compliance, data integrity, or workflow-heavy domains
  • Startup experience where process was lightweight and you brought your own structure
  • Experience mentoring or coaching other designers
  • Familiarity with the nonprofit or social impact sector

Design B2spin: Digital Design Team Lead — Retention/CRM

Lead a team of digital designers producing retention marketing assets (emails, push notifications, in-app messages) across multiple gaming brands while building design systems, standards, and processes.

Lead Posted 10 days ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: Bulgaria
URL: http://b2spin.com

We are B2Spin, and we are dedicated to delivering the best Free-to-Play Social Casino and gaming experiences by creating captivating, engaging, and unique products that are accessible to everyone. We have built a team of talented professionals from all over the globe, who are working to continually improve the experiences of our players. We are not looking to just be part of the industry, but to revolutionize it.

The Role

We run the creative function for retention at a multi-brand iGaming company. That means high-volume, high-frequency output — emails, push notifications, in-app messages, onsite banners — produced for segmented player audiences across multiple brands, all at the same time. This is a marketing creative leadership role, not a product or UX design role. You will lead a team of Digital Designers producing retention marketing assets across four brands and multiple CRM channels — not app or product interfaces.

The Design Team Lead owns the quality and consistency of that output. Not by reviewing everything personally, but by building the systems, standards, and team capability that make good work the default. This is as much an ops-and-systems role as it is a creative leadership role. If you're energized by turning "we eyeball it every time" into "we have a standard for that," this is the job.

What You Will Own

Brand systems that actually get used

Our brands are fragmented today. You'll build the documented visual systems — templates, component libraries, per-brand rules, practical "do this, not that" guidance — that designers reach for rather than work around. When the system is good, consistency stops being something we police and becomes the default.

Repeatable production at scale

Multiple designers producing work across four brands and CRM channels need modular templates, clear briefing standards, and clean versioning. You'll build and maintain those foundations. Just as importantly, you'll convert the feedback you keep repeating into checklists and onboarding material — so nobody gives the same note twice.

AI that produces on-brand results, not surprises

We already use AI heavily; the results aren't predictable enough. You'll put structure around it: per-brand prompt libraries, locked reference styles, clear review checkpoints, and training on how to take a raw AI output and finish it to a genuinely on-brand standard.

Quality that can be measured

You'll define what "on-brand and high quality" means for each brand, track simple signals like first-pass approval rate and rework volume, and catch delivery or quality risks before they hit send dates. You'll also keep improving how the team works — processes, tools, handovers — without waiting to be asked.

A team that feels clear and supported

Regular 1:1s, honest consistent feedback, and being the person designers come to when they're stuck. You'll monitor workload alongside the Traffic Manager, contribute to hiring, and make sure new designers land well and ramp fast.

What Success Looks Like

  • Our brands feel like systems, and the work looks consistent wherever it shows up.

  • Designers work to shared standards, so the same feedback isn't going round in circles.

  • Work ships with reliable quality and far less rework.

  • AI is a dependable part of how we create, not a gamble.

  • The team feels supported, knows what good looks like, and trusts their own judgement.

What We’re Looking For

  • A direct, easy communicator who does well in a fast-moving, remote team.

  • 5+ years of professional digital design experience, with a strong portfolio of digital work.

  • A track record of building systems, such as templates, brand guidelines, component libraries, or repeatable processes, not just strong one-off work.

  • Experience mentoring or supporting other designers; leadership is a big plus, not a must.

  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to give feedback that is clear, kind, and useful.

  • Hands-on experience taming AI creative tools, or a strong point of view on how you would.

Why you will love it

You'll thrive in our high-pace, high-growth environment where your curiosity directly shapes million-dollar decisions. Every insight you uncover translates into real business impact, while you build and lead a team that thinks strategically about the brands they own. You'll have the freedom to innovate your approach to analysis while working at the cutting edge of gaming analytics and machine learning.

Equal Opportunities Statement
We hire based on skills, drive, and ideas — nothing else. Your background, gender, age, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, religion, neurodiversity, or educational path will never be a barrier to joining us. We also welcome candidates from non-traditional career journeys and value diverse perspectives that challenge conventional thinking.
Diversity fuels our innovation, collaboration, and growth, and we're committed to creating an environment where everyone can contribute their best work and thrive.

  • Advocate for inclusive and accessible visual design, ensuring that color, contrast, typography, motion, and interaction states work for a broad range of users and contexts.

  • Help define how the design system supports emerging product needs, including AI-powered experiences, personalization, automation, and increasingly complex enterprise workflows.

  • Use customer insights, product data, usability feedback, and competitive research to identify opportunities to improve the system and its impact.

  • Facilitate critiques, workshops, and cross-functional reviews that help teams make stronger visual and product decisions.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft, thoughtful systems thinking, and the ability to improve product experiences at both the component and end-to-end workflow level.

  • Experience creating, evolving, and scaling product design systems used by multiple teams across a growing organization.

  • Strong understanding of design tokens, component architecture, responsive design, accessibility, and the relationship between design tools and front-end implementation.

  • A track record of turning ambiguous product and customer problems into clear, elegant, and reusable visual solutions.

  • Experience partnering closely with engineers to bring detailed visual designs to life and to make pragmatic decisions when implementation constraints arise.

  • Strong product thinking, with the ability to understand customer needs, business goals, technical constraints, and the broader relationships among product surfaces and workflows.

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence product and engineering partners without relying on formal authority.

  • Experience balancing consistency and flexibility, knowing when to use an existing pattern, when to extend it, and when to introduce something new.

  • A demonstrated ability to give and receive thoughtful feedback, mentor others, and raise the quality bar across a design organization.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, making decisions with incomplete information, and balancing strategic thinking with a bias for action.

  • Experience with tools such as Figma and familiarity with front-end technologies or design system implementation workflows is a plus.

  • A strong commitment to Vanta’s principles: putting customers first, biasing for action, winning as one team, deciding with frameworks, leading with resilience, and doing what it says on the tin.

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.

SecurityScorecard is looking for a stellar, empathetic, and results-oriented Senior UX Manager who leads people the way great designers craft products: with intention, empathy, and an uncompromising results orientation. This is a player-coach role for someone who has mastered the senior IC craft — end-to-end product design, design systems, accessibility-first execution, AI-native workflows — and is now ready to multiply that excellence through a team.

You’ll own team health, design velocity, and process — including running Agile scrum ceremonies that keep design planned, visible, and delivered on cadence with Product and Engineering. You’ll spearhead the operating system of the design organization: structured workflows, transparent tracking, a governed Design System, and a feedback culture where critique is direct, kind, and elevating in both directions.

We’re looking for someone human-led and empathy-driven who is also relentlessly accountable to outcomes — an excellent feedback giver and taker who brings their best self, meets people where they are, and moves the whole team in the same direction. You’ve done the work you’ll be managing. Now you’ll set the standard — and bring others up with you.

What You’ll Do

  • People Leadership & Team Health: Directly manage a team of designers at a healthy span of control. Conduct meaningful 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations. Lead with empathy, own team morale and retention with measurable targets, and cultivate a culture of transparency where every designer knows where they stand and where they’re headed.
  • Agile Design Process Leadership: Run and continuously improve Agile ceremonies for the design team — sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and design reviews. Integrate design seamlessly into scrum cycles alongside Product and Engineering, ensuring design work is planned, visible, estimated, and delivered on cadence — never a bottleneck, never a black box.
  • Hands-On Design Excellence: Stay close to the craft. You can own a feature end-to-end when needed — from discovery and wireframes through high-fidelity UI and production handoff — and you review, critique, and elevate the team’s output daily. Your feedback raises the bar; your example sets it.
  • Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the primary design liaison to Product Management, Engineering, and business stakeholders. Translate between design intent and business priorities fluently. Participate in roadmap planning, negotiate scope with clarity and directness, and build the cross-functional trust that makes design a strategic partner — not a service desk.
  • Research & Data Integration: Ensure the team synthesizes usability testing and behavioral analytics (FullStory, Pendo) into design iterations. Partner with UX Research to translate findings into personas, journey maps, and design decisions grounded in evidence — not opinion.
  • AI-Native Team Enablement: Champion AI-augmented design workflows across the team — Figma AI, Claude, and emerging tooling — to compress design cycles without sacrificing quality. Set adoption goals, share best practices, and model an AI-by-Design mindset.
  • Talent Development & Feedback Culture: Build professional growth plans for every direct report with clear markers for success. Give feedback that is direct, kind, and actionable — and receive it the same way. Stretch senior designers toward promotion and expanded scope, and make this team known as a place where great designers grow.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, including 3+ years directly managing designers — with a portfolio and track record demonstrating both craft excellence and team leadership.
  • Hands-on experience running Agile scrum ceremonies in some capacity — sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, backlog grooming — and integrating design into agile product development cycles.
  • Full command of the senior IC toolkit: end-to-end product design ownership from discovery and wireframing through high-fidelity UI and production handoff. You’ve done the job you’ll be managing — at a high level.
  • Deep proficiency in Figma, including component architecture, auto-layout, variables, and prototyping. You think in systems, not just screens — and you can teach others to do the same.
  • Hands-on experience building, governing, and scaling Design Systems that measurably accelerate design and engineering velocity.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) and experience embedding inclusive design practices into team workflows.
  • Experience synthesizing behavioral analytics (FullStory, Pendo, Amplitude, or similar) and usability testing into design decisions — and coaching teams to do so.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills — you communicate design rationale persuasively to Product, Engineering, and executive audiences, and you negotiate priorities with clarity and directness.
  • Human-led and empathy-driven: you put people first, listen deeply, and build psychological safety — while staying relentlessly results-oriented and accountable to outcomes.
  • An excellent feedback giver and taker: you deliver critique that is direct, constructive, and inspiring — and you actively seek, welcome, and act on feedback about your own leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience accepted.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal Agile training certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent), OR robust experience serving as a scrum master or agile lead for a design and/or tech team.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise platform products with complex workflows and data-dense interfaces.
  • Track record of improving team health, morale, and retention metrics in design organizations — with measurable evidence.
  • Experience implementing JIRA-based or equivalent tracking systems for design teams.
  • Familiarity with AI-augmented design workflows and integrating AI tooling into team processes at scale.
  • Experience leading teams through organizational transformation, process change, or leadership transition.
